MEMPHIS 1906

...Latest Souvenir View-Book of Memphis

This book of Memphis photos was published in 1906 by I & M Ottenheimer of Baltimore, Maryland.  It refers to Memphis as "The fastest growing city in the South".  It's obviously a souvenir booklet designed to be sold in drugstores or specialty stores.  The contents are similar to the publications sponsored by a city's Chamber of Commerce - a photo book of all that's good about a city.  Depicted are early photos of Main Street, Front Street, Madison Street, Court Square, major buildings in Memphis, and some of the beautiful homes.

Thanks to Dave French for allowing us to scan and to post his book on this website.
